The Great Recession!

This is a pretty inspiring story of one of my closest friend who decided to buy time for once in his life. Buy time..huh..sounds a freaky concept. Just like one among the ordinary crowd, I too was too novice to give him a pat on his shoulder. Nobody could ever read this brilliantly crafted idea of buying time. For someone who has watched him over the years so closely, it was a gamble and a suicidal risk. But thats what my friend is all about. He loves taking risks and go out of his zone to do something different that a normal person doesnt care or dare about and that what makes him grow every day.
Before I get into the nitty-gitties of his time machine drama, let me give my readers some background about this guy so that you are better able to appreciate his efforts. In one line, this friend of mine is the synonym of optimism. His mind never sleeps and always in the hunt for opportunities to grow his skills, knowledge and money in a quick and smarter way and how to make things better to live an easy life, away from the hustle and bustle of a cruel 9-6 job. He is an absolute planner and a great strategist, with a strong ability to smell peripheral risks and a a even stronger acumen to create bagfull of feasible back up plans. He has a simple approach in life- There is nothing in life that you cant achieve, you need to look at things from the right perspective, that gives you a vision and once you have vision, slowly you start to realises the choices you have to lead a easy life. Another facet of his dynamic personality is the tonnes of patience and tolerance he has. I have seen many skilled people losing at the end point. This guy just doesnt give up. He believes in finishing strong, no matter you end up first or last in the race, it should be run in the true spirit.

My friend comes from a very modest family backround. He is the youngest and had two daughters and a brother. His mother whom he loves most is good in only one thing:- To love her children no matter how they are. Father is perhaps a carbon copy of my friend when it comes to thinking about the bigger picture and taking a bold step, unfortunately he didnt have many back up plans inside his bag during his days. Understandably, 50 years back, not many people had many choices. His father came from a not so financially stable background, typically from a rural backround. But he was keen on his education and going out of his zone to make his children see the better things in life that he perhaps couldnot see. In simple terms, they never had the money, never had the salary to grow up all 4 children equally and give them the best of education possible. But for sure, his parents had the vision and belief in their children that their efforts would never go in vain. Mother played the role of a stoic supporting pillar, mainly looking after the house keeping activities in their upbringing. Father perhaps took the role which bore the seed for this great time machine drama. His father has a very simple idea in mind" I dont have money, people have tremendous faith in me, I have even more faith in my children, why not use peoples faith on me to grow up my children. Let me put my faith in stake and take money from people as much as I can, juggle it to the best I can and use this money to give the education to my children. However I will never use my faith or peoples money to give any undue advantage to my children". He had no back plans, the only advantage he had was that he had 4 pillars in his 4 children. If the risk pays off, they will all grow up with the best of education and pay of huge loans. He taught only one thing to his children "Knowledge can do wonders". But the journey wasnot so easy for his parents..The juggling task that his father had to do was too painstaking, too mind boggling and sucked the health and the peace of the family gradually. My friend had see many a times his mother breaking down with tears in the kitchen just because she could see the pain in her husband for not being able to manage things at times. Perhaps those tears are another driving factor for this time machine drama. Those tears made my friend fearless about obstacles in life. With times rolling by, the eldest 3 children landed up with handsome jobs..one became a Surgeon in one of the most reputate hospitals in the city, the elder brother became a software professional in Bangalore and the younger sister too started laddering up in the software world. My friend just graduated out when his father got retired. So, everything went fine, everyone are home just at the right time. Isnt it? But what about people? On the day of retirement the father disclosed the damage that had happened during this entire journey. And it was whopping 55 Lakhs, a mere impossible task for the 4 pillars who have just learned to stand on their feets. Father had no idea about what went wrong and how things slipped away from his hands. Children education never costed so much. No body had any clue, perhaps a bit of planning and monitoring could have kept the figures on the lower side.
