Does a smile always stands for happiness. I would be smashing my head against the wall if I say No. And if I don’t do that, somebody else will be privileged to put you against the wall. We smile when we win, we smile when we see our dear ones happy, we smile as kids when our hands are stuffed with bagful of chocolates, we smile when our paintings receive the praise they deserve, we smile on that melancholy feeling that our song has reached the hearts of many, we smile...
But seldom people notice that there also exists another often undiscovered niche for a smile. That is in sadness. Yes, sometimes we smile even if we are sad, we smile even if we are broken from inside, we smile because it makes the other end happy. It might be an unfortunate child clamouring for a piece of bread on the shabby streets, it might be your parents, it might be the person you love most or it might be yourself also. No wonder this happiness is so much dear to the other end because it opens a whole world of hopes, strength and self beliefs within.
